A few weeks ago I started dating a truly wonderful girl. Well, a quick update....
Last week she invited me over for a home-cooked meal. One of her little boys wanted to be "the server" and put food on all our plates. What a cute kid!! Later after the boys had went to bed, we stayed up and talked for over two hours. (Really, we talked....what were you thinking? ) I have rarely talked with anyone so intelligent and open-minded and it was cool to find out that we are passionate about many of the same things.
This weekend she had promised to treat me to dinner at a fancy restaurant. I have never been to a place like that! Modern architecture, artsy murals on the walls, a stairway up to a mezzinine, a waiter that could make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich sound like a delicacy, and when I looked at the menu I felt so lost! Thank god she was able to tell me what some of the items were in plain english. Finally I crossed my fingers and just picked something. I think it wouldn't have mattered what you picked, that was some of the best food I have ever had. I kept thinking "so this is how the other half lives" and it is good!
Afterwards we drove around and I showed her some fantastic Christmas light displays I had found a few days before and she loved it.
Guys, I think I'm in real good with this girl. She absolutely rocks my world, and says so many nice things to me. I hope I never let her down, but even if it doesn't work out in the end, it's good to know things CAN be like this with the right person. A year ago, I never thought this was the kind of girl I would have a relationship with.
Next weekend she is coming to see my band. That ought to hook her! ...or maybe not.... !!!
Peace, Love, and Merry Christmas to all. |

Sounds like the start of a great relationship.
Just pace yourselves and take your time.
Don't rush into anything.
Especially with children involved.
So, she digs live music? |

Especially with children involved. | Always good advice! We are both quite aware of how easily chidren latch on to someone new, so for now, I am just her "friend" to the boys. Over the years I have met more than my share of girls with kids who were looking for someone to help support them and provide a father figure to their children and would do and say nearly anything to snag me. Fortunately, in this case, she is quite independant, not in need of money, and mature and organized enough to handle things on her own. Quote:

She has mentioned she would like to take me to see a classical music performance sometime, but she's an likes Ozzie Osbourne, too. Cool chick! |
