G'day TBer's,
With xmas knocking on the door, I recently bought myself an early xmas present. They are a pair of sunglasses with HD video recording capabilities. But the deluxe package (which is what I bought) is really something of great value. For your $250AUD, this is what you get;
- 1280 x 720p HD video/audio (apparently this is true HD recording)
- Micro SD Class 10 card
-16gb memory for up to 2 hour of recording
- Rechargable lithium polymer battery for 2.5 hours of recording life.
- 6 sets of interchangable lenses for many different light conditions (4 polarised, 2 non polarised)
- Hard case, lanyard and cleaning cloth.
- 12v and 240v australian power chargers (not sure if they can be converted or not, may need a step down transformer).
My primary plan for these is to use them to capture footage from what will be a very short gamefishing season for me. It is always hard to get someone to film with steady hands and I like the idea of hands-free recording, all you have to do is look at what is going on. I also have plans to use these for when I play gigs in order to capture the gig from my perspective. Could be a handy little thing for making film clips.
Yet everyone either think's that they are a spy gadget or that they need to black out their windows. BAHHH!!!
The company that makes them is an Australian company called SHE LEFT, the guy who run's the show is an avid fisherman who understand's the stress that saltwater can put on electronic equipment. His camera equipment is built with oceanic gamefishing in mind, so these sunglasses are built to last. He also has a range of dive masks with inbuilt HD camera's as well. If your spouse doesn't know what to get you for xmas, give her a hint;
