The 2010 PGA Tour kicks off this weekend in Maui.
There is talk of smaller crowds at the events and smaller TV audiences with no Tiger Woods. Who knows when he is going to come back, but he did say he would. Is that enough to keep you involved with watching/following golf? Or will you forget about it until Tiger comes back?

Tiger's problems are his alone, hopefully it was worth all the hassle.

Tiger shouldn't have screwed around, and I'm glad he's not my husband, but that has nothing to do with his game. He should get a divorce, set his wife up nicely so that she has no worries and is free to live life, and go play golf.

Cherie | +1, Tiger broke his vows, but at least he did not smack down his wife. For what it's worth, Tiger is not stupid. If Elin Woods did deck him with that golf club, he knew that hitting her would have turned him into OJ number two in the media!
Heck, he is already getting the "black buck" treatment on the cover of Vanity Fair this month. In all fairness, Tiger willingly posed for this photo, but I don't think it would have been a cover shot if he weren't in such a controversy.

I hope Tiger takes a year off then enters and wins every tournament from 2011 through 2015.

He is just as much Asian. But I get what you said and why you said it in reference to this cover shot. |

Sheesh. Elin must have been clean out of her mind to marry him. Cute? Yes. Rich? Yes. Famous, too? Yes. Uhhh...is this asking for trouble? You betcha!

I just believe that given the culture of this country, if Woods were not famous, most people would call him black. In fact, I remember talking to a nice country girl from Missouri who said she wanted to know what a half Asian, half Black person would look like. When I told her Tiger Woods was such a person, she could hardly believe it!

But I've been known to watch ladies and senior tournaments if there's nothing else on. So, to answer the OP's question, I will be keeping track of who's winning on the PGA Tour, and I'll probably watch a good bit, but somewhat less than if Tiger was out there.
It's worth noting, Tiger typically doesn't start his season until late January at Torrey Pines. So, no Tiger for the first four weeks of the year is par for the course (pun intended.) That said, I'm sure ratings will be down while he's gone. But that first tournament back, they'll need an atom smasher to crunch the ratings numbers.
Anyone got a guess as to when he returns? I guess a lot depends on whether he can save his marriage, but logic says he comes back at Bay Hill, and then the Masters two weeks later. I hope he's not gone too long. I might actually have to do family stuff on weekends..

Cherie | I've got a feeling that Elin was thinking about the money as much as she was thinking about the man, and she is definitely going to get some money!

Not just because of the sexy asian chicks playing, but because they are much closer to my level than the PGA pros.
Ok. Who am I kidding? It's for the sexy asian chicks. |

Sugar Daddy. He pays for her place, he buys her nice things, he gives her money, and she still gets to run after cute golfers.
Its a win/win!
Charlie Sheen's wife, OTOH...that nutjob boy needs to go to jail. Where someone will make him his beeotch and put the smackdown on *him*. I'll never watch his work again.

I feel the same way about Tiger Woods as I do about Brett Favre... yes they are very very good at things very few people in this world are even moderately good at... but at some point, enough already. |
