new to selling, questions on payment

Hey guys, I'm brand new to selling on the internet, does anyone have any experience with getting paid with paypal through a money request sent in another country? I live in Canada and may make a sale to a gentleman in NZ. Just wondering how much Paypal will "fee" me...

What is the BEST way for me to receive all my money?

Thanks!

There are several paypal fee calculators out there. Just search google for one. You can't ask that your paypal fees get paid by a member here but you can figure out what the net and gross would be through one of those. Just price according to what you want to get out of it. I haven't used any other methods of payment since paypal came along.

if you mean ebay, stick with paypal. be aware some get ripped off even with paypal because our business laws do not pertain to other countries and are not enforceable. you should be able to find the list of paypal fees on the paypal site. a money order or anything where you have the cash IN HAND before mailing out of the country it is safest. i have heard of incidents where an international check is suddenly no good a week after depositing, and the item has been mailed already. i read here on talkbass not to use or accept the "gift" money option, because there is no paypal authority after its sent. i have 1545 feedbacks on ebay. only lost a few times. remember paypal requires tracking and proof of recieving. this usually makes the shipping cost higher. ( i lost a $600 clock i mailed to china and found out the hard way lol)

Here is a nice chart from PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...y-fees-outside. Notice too the link at the bottom of the picture that says cross border payments.
