New Star Wars movie?

Sign in to disble this ad
So anyone no whats up with the new star wars movie coming out "Star War Clone Wars" have seen posters in the movie theater for it for quite some time and just this week started seeing commericials. Its digitally animated similar to the little Cartoon Network StarWar mini series. I'm a big Star Wars fan but i really think i'm gonna sit this one out and wait for it to come to DvD. I just don't see anything of the usual Star War material coming out of it...

my son loved the last animated series they played on cartoon network. I would hope this would be similar.

I still don't like Anikin, I have trouble liking him as a lead character.

I can see it being quite awkward telling a kid that their favorite lovable hero in "The Clone Wars" just ends up killing all his friends in a few years.

George Lucas has neither written nor directed this movie...so it might actually be alright.

I think it's what happens between episode 2 and 3. Meh.

so is it a recap of the animated clone wars that was on the cartoon network awhile back? (which was between episodes 2 and 3) or an entirely new story?

Good point.
I'm still up in the air about it though. An animated Star Wars movie? I'm skeptical but we'll see...

I've seen a poster, but since I don't really care and haven't watched the Clone Wars series, I'll probably just skip it.

I guess we have different views on the previous movies. George Lucas isn't directing or writing it? Odd...

Very odd... It might be OK...

I'm more exited about the Knights of the Old Republic MMORPG...

I really liked that game...

This talk of Star Wars has reminded me of an anecdote:

A couple of years ago I in HMV, at Newcastle, for a signing for the Hot Fuzz film. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright were in attendance. Somebody had bought in a copy of 'Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menance' to be signed. The DVD was put in front of Simon Pegg and rather than signing his name he wrote "Pile of S***".

It was all rather amusing.

Hmmm...

Might be a good idea, it has been 25 years since the last one.

The last two animated films were awful. I won't sit through this one...Lucas or not... At a certain point in one's life, don't you just have to say to yourself, "Why do I care about this?"
