What do you think?
The new color scheme is much easier on the eyes than the harsh white. I like the pinning of your favorite channels on the left, it's almost like a remote...So far so good.

I'm pretty adverse to change in the beginning, so right now I am not loving it. The new home page isn't too much, but I dislike the new setup for profiles so I am sticking with the original version for now.
There are some useful features to it and customization settings, but it's such a vast change from their old format that it is hard to judge.
All my clicking patterns have gotten messed up in the past couple of days with Google changing their "toolbar" first and now Youtube's new layout. I think I'm more mad about the Google part.. I thought it was much easier how they had it before. |

This annoys me because it allows you to make a strong educated guess about the quality of the content you will be watching by seeing the rating gauge and now that has been taken away.
But, I found this Chrome extension so you can reverse it. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...dnhideeiapohgi

| | THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER! | | Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: USA; Mitchellville, Maryland | | | The new layout is AWESOME! Absolutely love it. The only problem I've encountered is my feed loading videos other than the ones uploaded by those I'm subscribed to despite having the box checked. I'm sure that'll be fixed with time. The only real issue I have with it currently is that it only seems to show one upload per subscriptions where as the old layout would show up to 4 or so vids that were last uploaded by that person. Not the worst change in the world but I'd much rather have that back instead of the recommended videos column because it made it easier to see what I missed, if anything.
Overall, I give it an A- so it's all good.

The bar on the homepage seems like nothing I'll ever use, and the whole website seems to be loading much slower for me now. It seems more focused around competing with hulu and tv now, which I really don't like. I hope they let us switch back to the old layout, but I'm doubtful.
Also the new favicon is terrible...

That's got to be my biggest gripe because I usually have things in que (in my mind) to watch when I get a chance. Now I feel like I'm missing a lot of things from bigger subscriptions that post multiple videos a day. |

For example, this stops 40 ESPN videos per day from annoying me and making me wade though all the results.

Saw that some other users organized their uploads into playlists (which I believe is something new) so we did that too...seems to make it easier visually if you have more than a dozen or so and you still have to option to click on "view all".
Really like the "pinning" feature too. |

Really like the "pinning" feature too. | The playlist feature has always been around. In fact, you may recall in the past while watching a video that in the recommended videos section they usually include playlists near the top. |

It shows up now under "uploads" almost like an album book with pages...kind of a neat way to organize. We put hers into 3 Lists: Covers/Transcriptions, Live Performances and Grant Project...when you click one it expands into all the videos in that list. I really like that it can do that! I'm pretty easily amused though |

This, as well as the Google search's (especially their image search) update and Flash in general, lags Opera like crazy. Chrome lags slightly less. I ditched IE and Firefox because they're both RAM hogs. I have 2GB of RAM, which should be enough for everything except extreme gaming, so I don't understand why these updates are messing with my browsers.
