Story from ESPN.com: Eagles over wolves in a rout. Another story of athletes with tons of money trying to make the world a better place. Beyond that, the boys courage made it difficult for me to fight back the tears reading the story and watching the video.
Video for the story from ABC, which includes footage of the beating: NFL Stars Have Bullied Teen's Back.

The fear isn't entirely gone in Nadin's house -- his mom still sleeps in the living room at night in case "somebody's coming to get my son," she says -- but for Nadin, stepping up for others has been the best thing he's ever done for himself. He's already turned down $1,800 for the jersey. "I'm going to give it to my son and he'll give it to his son."
| Bravo kid

I kind of felt like a jerk watching the video, that is when I wasn't crying for the young guy. I wonder what would have changed for me as a youth if one of the kids I used to beat up on fought back and whipped my *** one day.

-Mike | I can see how that would stir emotion.

-Mike | Ever wonder how many kids' self esteem you may have messed up?

The behaviour of today's senior citizens is appalling!

I wouldn't have had the balls to stand up publicly like this kid did. Great for him, and he'll be one hell of a Marine one day.

| | Registered User | | | | I read the espn piece. It's really good to learn of a bullying episode with a positive outcome for a change.
I won't watch the video though. I depresses me to tears just imagining what this young lad went through.
Bullying must be discouraged while the offenders are still young--for everyone's immediate and long-term good. |

-Mike | If the victims have to suffer the effects, so should the bully.
By the way, do you have kids of your own?
