many reasons. mostly, relative exposure--the game was not nationally televised. also, media run for profit--there's no money to be made by stirring up a controversy in this case. another reason is that the aggrieved team overcame the referee's error and won the game anyway. the peculiarities of human nature play a part as well, i.e. the notions of karma and favoritism, anger by losing teams' fans against a winning team, etc. what say you--did i leave anything out?

Contrast that with the situation two weeks ago and you have your answer.
