I was rooting for Green Bay; but the 49ers were clearly the better team today. I know they played the Seahawks twice, but did they play Atlanta during the regular season? If so, who won it?

I had a funny feeling that the Ravens might pull off the upset despite being huge underdogs. My thinking was that Denver had won 11 in a row (I think). Therefore, I thought the law of averages was about to catch up with them. I was kind of surprised that Manning threw that 2nd interception. Since he was out of the pocket, I thought he'd throw it away rather than try to force it in there.

A good friend of mine in Connecticut is a rabid Patriots fan. He was pulling for the Ravens so that the Pats will have home field if they win tomorrow. I don't know though. The Ravens are looking pretty strong right now...

Same here. I did not believe the 49'er hype. I thought Kaepernick would pull a rookie implosion. I thought all the Pack's talent, experience, and wisdom would give them the edge.

As far as I'm concerned, that's two upsets today. I sure am glad I don't bet on football.

The Packers defense could not figure out Kaep. They were throwing their hands up the whole game thinking "Which way did he go......Which way did he go.....Which...."

I said it to a mate last night, I reckoned the Pats were better off with a shootout at Mile High, than trying to deal with an angry Ravens team with their defence finally coming together.

That's if they beat the Texans of course, who have their defence looking a lot better than their last meeting.

Part of me wants it to be a good game today. Another part makes me want the Seahawks to be six feet under by the end of the first half then having their heads stepped on in the second half. It's time to put the critics to rest. This isn't the same team that appeared in the last three playoffs. Hopefully that's show today on the field.

Just an awful performance. Out played, out coached, out classed by a better team.

We've smacked the pretty boy around before and left him pouting on the sidelines before the end of the 4th quarter, with luck, and it seems a ferocious amount of willpower, we'll do it again.

OK so you're run D has been suspect for most of the year, and you KNEW that Kaepernick could scoot when push came to shove, but to make ZERO adjustments for this at the half? Dude, seriously?

Not to mention abandoning a running game that was working pretty well in keeping the Niners D off balance. Makes no sense. Woodson subtly indicted Capers this morning in comments to the effect of "We were running the D that was called. We need to get bigger and faster"

Sometimes I just can't believe how lucky the Patriots can be. Right now they're the #1 seed in the AFC, and depending of the Houston game will be hosting the AFC Championship game in Foxboro next week. I guess it proves the old adage that sometimes you don't have to be just good to win, sometimes you have to be lucky.

And they've been lucky ever since the tuck rule. BTW didn't the tuck rule work for the defense in yesterday's Ravens Broncos game.:hmm

Have they won a SB since spy gate? Flame away.

No they haven't, but they have been to the big dance a couple of times since and lost in close games to great Giants' teams.

Many people hate the Patriots and I get that, but how many other teams have had the winning percentage of New England in the past decade? How long has it been since SF won?

It takes luck to get through the playoffs and win the Super Bowl.

Rarely do we have a team that is dominant enough that they are clearly better than anybody else. 85 Bears, a couple of those 90s Cowboys teams.

Well, you were half right, Stanky. Typical Falcons win. Dominate first half. Blow the lead in the second half. Ryan and Co come back in the last 30 seconds.

I don't think that gameplan will work against the 49ers.

The devil on my shoulder wanted Atlanta to commit pass interference on the Hail Mary, get one hand on the ball as Golden Tate comes down with it and be awarded an interception.
