Congratulations Atlanta! Man... That was a heart breaker at the end, but we were dominated and lost in the first half.

Good luck the rest of the way!

Nice way for the Texans to finish the first half - they're keeping it close, at least.

The NFC is either going to send a team to the Super Bowl that hasn't been there in 14 years (ATL) or 18 years (SF). Fresh blood is a good thing.

I turned it off at the start of the 4th. Matt Schaub looked completely lost that entire game.

All three of my teams lost: Denver, Seattle and Green Bay.

Dang. Simply dang.

Most of the games were very close this weekend - not the Pats/Texans, tho.

I want to like Atlanta, but that was a colossal choke job in the second half. Glad they pulled it out in the end, though. And props to the Seahawks for growing up this year. Their coach is a giant annoying walking ego, but he must be doing something right since they have become very formidable. As far as the Patriots/Texans... meh. The Texans seem like they quit actually trying to win about a month ago. Good riddance.

Die-hard, long-time, non-bandwagon Seahawks fan here.

While I admire the spunk of the offense in coming back from 20 down, and while I'm appreciative that the defense got their act together for most of the second half, I have a pretty tough judgment to level against the team:

If your defense can't hold the other team from advancing the ball far enough in 23 seconds to kick a non-heroic field goal, you deserve to lose.

As soon as Seattle scored the "winning" TD, I went and made lunch. I actually turned the TV off so I wouldn't see them go down. The scenario had "Chicago game" written all over it, without the possibility of redemptive OT.

Say all you want about Carroll maybe telling the official "I don't want a time out" and getting one anyway. Reality is that Atlanta should have never gotten to a place on the field where they could win.

Disclaimer: I did not see the entire game. I was at church all weekend doing the Lord's work and got home just in time for the major excitement.

Football has a long history of great nicknames.

Matty Ice ain't one of them.

That is all.

I think it might be time for Capers to go. Keep the 3-4 but get a new guy running it. No changes to stop the running game doomed the Pack, for several weeks. Not like they don't have the talent on that side of the ball, just an awful game plan. I was going to pull for Russell Wilson now that that's out I'm not sure who I want to win it. Not Brady, I'd prefer not a Harbaugh guess that leaves the dirty birds. I think SF takes it though.

Very true. That "Nickname" was given to him from local BC radio play by play guy who had an enormous man-crush on Ryan. Not so much...

No one is seconding guessing the decision to replace Smith with Kap now.

Agreed, but failing to make any points out of five fairly solid chances in the first half was also completely avoidable with a few different coaching decisions. Still, great game and nice season for the Seahawks.

At this point, I'd love to see SF win it all. I was convinced prior to the Packers game that he was going to choke. Not only did he not choke, he was a machine. I love watching him play. he just looks like he's having fun out there. Plus, he doesn't come across as a d-bag at all. At least not yet.

I think the rest of the team and their coach makes up for it.
