I hope Frisco gets to the big game and wins it all; I am a huge fan of the way they play. Plus Frank Gore looks like a less-handsome version of me
Ideally 9ers v Ravens. I'm tired of the Pats

I agree, Capers defenses are usually good at creating turnovers but not at stopping the run or in last years case, stopping the run and the pass. |

Bring it on Niners! I'll be there to watch your defeat in person.

Pats over Ravens; Falcons over 49ers. Falcons win the S.B.
My picks:
New England over Baltimore, but a very close, hard-fought game.
San Francisco over Atlanta.
Super Bowl: Niners over Patriots

I got luck in 4th or 5th place as far as rookie of the year goes.
RG3, Wilson, Morris, Martin, and then Luck.
I didn't find him all that impressive. At 54% completion, and 18 Int's the other two QB's smoke him.

Bring it on Niners! I'll be there to watch your defeat in person. | Come on, Stanky! I very much wanted the Falcons to win, but they were fortunate Seattle called that TO and also made bad decisions inside the ATL 15 twice in the first half. The Falcons' historical choke reflex was still very much in evidence yesterday.

I was split on who I wanted to win the Seahawks/Falcons game. Seattle whupped my Niners recently so that has to worry you as a fan, but it would be a revenge game AND it would be in SF. Plus even as a 49ers fan I can't help but love the way Russel Wilson plays the game. Fantastic young QB.
Atlanta scares me less - no offense to the Falcons but the Seahawks looked to be the hotter team, just convincingly beat my team and are more physical on defense with a very elusive QB. But it will be an away game and Atlanta has shown all season that they are a complete football team.
The 49ers have struggled with big, pass catching TE's and so Gonzalez poses a huge obstacle. (Side note, I went to Cal with Gonzalez and met him a few times. Good guy) And the Niners CBs will have their hands full with Jones and White who are fast and physical.
On the other side, the Falcons struggled to contain Cam Newton and I honestly think Kaepernick is faster, runs better AND has a bigger, more accurate arm. Mike Nolan better have a good scheme against the team he was once head coach for.
I'm looking forward to this one. Should be a good game regardless. |

So completely dominating Seattle in the first half, stopping them on 4th and 1, and Ryan leading them down the field with 31 seconds left to kick the game winning field goal had NOTHING to do with it? Sure. If this scenario plays out for New England, they're resilient. If Atlanta does it, they get lucky. Makes a lot of sense.
And why would it be surprising to see Atlanta beat San Francisco? Home field advantage, great record in the dome, and experience with mobile QBs. Let's not forget that Seattle beat San Francisco convincingly. I'd be really surprised if the media plays Atlanta as the underdog.

I can't pull for the Patsies. I know they're a great team but I don't like the coach and I haven't forgiven Tom Brady (an absolute first ballot hall of famer) for replacing Drew Bledsoe.

Stuck in the 90's much?
Actually I can't stand Tom Brady either.

Kaepernick has clearly demonstrated that he adds new dimensions (QB runs, the deep ball) that Smith didn't.
What many SF fans (myself included) were bothered by is HOW the switch happened. Alex Smith basically lost his job because he got a concussion which seems unfair. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
