Oh and 9ers win.
Beck seems to make pretty bad decisions under pressure. When he get's pressured he doesn't toss the ball out, he tries to run or force something. 9ers D is too good for that.
Gore is on the roll, redskins D is a mess.
Alex smith will do enough to win but not much more.

Dallas this week. I think are run D will remain strong so long as the offense can muster some points and allow to defense to rest at least a little bit. Dez Bryant and Brandon Browner will probably get in a fight.
Seattle: 17
Dallas: 16

A team that I once considered a legitimate Super Bowl contender I now consider a potential Wild Card candidate. No knock on the Steelers, they're an excellent team with a good shot at the SB, and there's no shame in losing to them. But that defense can't tackle, it gives up way too much pass yardage, and they can't stop anyone from converting on third down. I think the Pats have been emphasizing their offense so much these past few years that it's now catching up to them, in the form of a porous and neglected defense. This team deserves a 9-7 record by season's end.

Seems to be an awful lot of over-reacting lately due to the non-stop media coverage these days. Remember what they were saying about the Steelers after the first game? Old and slow. Heck, I saw guys on the Lions forums wanting to bench Stafford after the 2 losses, he's in the top 5 in the league in a number of categories for QBs, like wins, TDs, and passer rating. That kind of talk is just crazy.
All the playoff teams are going to lose 2-6 games, maybe even as many as 7 but a team just needs to get in the playoffs to have a good shot, Packers were a 6 seed last year and I don't remember much talk at the half way point of them being the favorite to win it all, seems to me that the Falcons and Pats were the favorites when the playoffs started.
There seems to be a rash of bad tackling going on in the NFL this year, it could be due to the new rules that only allow teams to have 14 full contact practices during the course of the season. There is only 1 way to practice tackling, with the pads on actually tackling people. I suspect that the league knew that less full-contact practice time would result in more "exciting" offensive football when they went with the new rules. |
