Should their be a re-vote? Obviously if the tests are confirmed he shouldn't win the MVP.

He's claiming his innocence, but this looks like another black mark for baseball.

The problem with the MVP, is that it is not given by MLB, so they can't really take it away...

But to me, MLB loses all credibility. And Kemp, who should have been the real MVP anyway, posted far better numbers, on a worse team, without steroids.

What I'm reading from the Milwaukee paper is that he was tested before the playoffs and was clean. They said the MVP was already voted on. Second test was in Oct and was positive not for steroids, but a banned substance and they are saying it was at a real high level. This would be a real black mark for the Brewers and MLB because his image is beyond squeaky clean.

I'm not sticking up for him if he was juiced, but your remark of "far better numbers" is not right. They were pretty close as I remember. Not sure how "on a worse team" helps the Kemp argument. Steroid allegations aside, seems to me if a superstar helps a team get to within one series of the world series, that counts more in "value".

I like how a Packers fan (guessing you probably live there), refers to a news article from a Milwaukee newspaper without a link, and says there is a "banned substance" at a high level...

It's hard to fake a positive result for a SYNTHETIC testosterone...and I'm about 100% sure, that he is guilty. The chance that he is not is about the same as OJ's DNA not being the same...I mean, after all, there is doubt, right?

Why would he all of a sudden start using after the regular season after those numbers just for the playoffs?

No precedent is different than the way it should be.

And the only reason MLB cant take it away, is because it's awarded by the baseball writers, and not MLB.

Things are falling apart in Wisconsin. Not too long ago they were on top of the sports world, now they got guys being popped for using illegal substances and beating up their girlfriends.

He has not come close to being proven guilty. He immediately appealed the test and took a second one within like a day of the first that came out negative for PEDS.

Big deal. Millions of people have roids. A couple of medicated wipes, maybe a suppository or two (they taste terrible btw, definitely NOT bungalicious as some would say...I know, I ate a whole box but they did not do a damn thing) and he's squared away.

Ryan Braun at least breaks a stereotype or two. I remember seeing a clip of him after won the MVP on ESPN. The dude looked downright metrosexual. It just shows that you don't have to be a bulging muscled meathead to abuse steroids!
