So this might sound a bit whiny but anyone else not able to concentrate at work?
I work on a computer all day (been at this job for about 9 months) and I find myself more and more unable to keep myself off the net and focused on work. The more old hat work gets the more time I spend on TB, or surfing. I only get motivated if I'm on a deadline or have an important project.
I'm feeling pretty guilty, but I still can't bring myself to do anything today. |

You should start an "Official Desk Jockey Who Spends Most Of His Workday Not Working Club". Or something wittier. I lose my wit temporarily along with my soul every time I walk into this building.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get something done. |

| | | | I work with computers myself and its either balls to the wall busy or extremely slow. It's been really slow lately and I can't focus on work at all, spend most of my day surfing the web and especially TB. I feel your pain! |

As for the OP, you forgetting that you're coming off a holiday weekend. It's always tough to get back into it after you've been off for a little while. |

I know that I get stuff done when I need to.

I'm in retail now (bought a store and maybe the farm with it), and I still keep a schedule to play time and work time. Having said that, there is nothing better than playing bass for relaxation or talking about it on this forum.

I've been in full burn mode now for over a year. Companies like to work us nowadays until we just CAN'T give a **** anymore.
No, I'm not lazy. I got a 4 star rating on my appraisal a year ago. But just after that I hit the wall. Not quite as bad now, but I am definately surfing too much, angry that my friends are laid off thru mismanagement and lousy economy, and just not feeling like I care about working hard for them anymore.
Actually, in a few months I'd like to get laid off and get some unenjoyment for a while - need to reboot the system if you know what i mean.
