| | | | I suppose a bonus is just something employers give when the job market isnt so tight, to keep employees happy and feeling good. I guess when the market is tight, and there is nowhere else for them to go, it doesnt matter if they're happy or not. Thats the way I see it.

We would get a Christmas bonus every year and one for the Summer as well but since I quit, I've been just gigging and delivering pizzas. I am getting some pretty decent tips this time of year, though. I deliver in some wealthy developments. |

One of my buddies in the same department got cut from 40 down to 10hrs a week. Another guy in the department got laid off.
The only reason that I didn't get cut to 10 hours is because I was willing to sit in the office and audit gigantic piles of payment stubs all day for 3 days a week. And I get to learn how to do the secretary stuff. Work is work is work is work. It'll certainly look good on my resume.
Business always slows down to almost a halt around Christmas season. Same at pretty much every machine shop.
