Back in the 90's I delivered pizza to Arrested Development.

Basically, I get paid the least to do the most and still get the shaft when business slows down. The slowest guy on the line that refuses to clean up after himself, always shows up late and leaves early, never gets his hours cut.
Man, I'm whiny... At least it's all out of me now. | He'll probably get promoted to management one day.

The GM came in and gave the 'you're all doing a great job' speech. He says, "we got something for all of you, and it's really great. This isn't the standard fare that you're just going to end up giving to your kids. You're really going to love this, especially those of you that spend a lot of time in the car."
So I'm thinking. "Whoa, we're all getting a GPS!"
Turned out to be plastic travel mugs.

American employers, for the most part, treat their employees like expendable, easily replacable pieces of trash. I am barely making it paycheck to paycheck, and I dont know how the hell Im going to buy Xmas presents. Im sure as hell not going to run up my credit card, and pay those lowlifes any interest fees.
But its all good.... when American workers can no longer make it paycheck to paycheck, the employers will be picking up the tab in the form of public assistance via taxation. Make your bed employers.... lie in it.

A couple of years before that when we had a massive cut in jobs one of the traveling mechanics asked him about the layoffs. His reply was "What would I care, men and machines are all replaceable."
My company only gives bonuses to management, not hourly workers. They don't even have Xmas meals anymore, it's completely discouraged, as well as giving the men a gift of any sort.
When my wife worked at a private law firm they gave all the associate attorneys, office manager, secretarys, basically everybody but low level employees who got nothing, a $100 dollar bill. The second year there she went to the managing partner and gave it back saying if the firm is in this much trouble you need this more than I do. He told her she'd never make partner as she wasn't a team player. She left shortly after to become a Federal Attorney, better pay better work.
