...I order concert tickets I end up salty b/c of all the extra charges. One would think that I would be used to it by now but it still gets me even after hundreds of shows.

A $29.00 Widespread Panic ticket at the PNC Pavilion in Cincy just cost me $47.50 after facility charge, parking, convenience fee, and order processing fee.

I hear ya, man. I know going in that I'm going to get stuck with fees and I'm ok with that. The one that gets me is after they add in the convenience charge and the handling fee and the fee to print the ticket yourself (one of the most ridiculous charges I have ever seen) you are shown your total and you think "so this is how much it's going to really cost". You enter in your CC info and go to pay when WHAM! another $3 per ticket "taking your money fee". Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

I get all mine directly from the venue box offices now. Alot of the times you can skip most (if not all) of the random fees, etc... Like last year, I went to see In Flames at the House of Blues with a bunch of friends. One Gen. Admission/Floor ticket: $21. My price at the HOB Box Office: $21. My friend's price on Ticketmaster: $37. A week ago, I went to see Slayer at UIC Pavillion, one Floor ticket: $59. My Price @ Box Office: $60. My friend's price on Ticketmaster: $81 and change. And don't even think about parking, thats where they really rip you a new one.

me too. which means i don't go to shows that are not close by. truth is, i really don't go to big shows anymore. local bands in bars and outdoor venues. i can get to some pretty good shows locally. i hate the fees.

furthur is coming to a small theatre in my town in nov. i just got tix. they were $50 without the fees! i only bought them cause i figure if they're gonna play within 2 miles of my house i might as well. funny thing is, i used to pay $12-15 to see the dead when jerry was still alive! ah well, if i were trying to go to shows as much as when i was a teen, i would be broke.

i have found that there are good and cheap shows out there, if you look. and don't mind going to not-as-famous bands. i don't like arena shows anymore anyways, but the fees suck!

I live in small town where most live music comes w/ the opportunity to be cut by some meth freak who's been power drinking corn liquor. Obvioulsy this means I gotta travel for tunes and buying from the box office isn't a possibility.

It's not really about the money I guess. I'll pay $50 to see Panic play. It's the huge FU that Livenation/Ticketmaster throws in your face. Like Pookie said about them charging you to print out your own ticket. Really?

I shouldn't rant about it. I'm going to continue to go and pay what they charge. It was just fresh on my mind and I had an outlet available. Thanks...

I dont do ticketbastard. Those guys rip you off sooooo hard its not even funny. Check out other websites, or buy them when you get there if you think that the show won't sell out.

On the other hand, I would pay $50 to see Widespread if Phish tickets are $60 and Furthur is $50.
