I used that all the time. I would use it to price things I was selling or to check the going price for stuff I was buying.

Never fear, you can still search all of craigslist if you put "site:" at the beginning of your search. Like this....site:craigslist.org bass guitar, or narrow it down to a city like this....site:seattle.craigslist.org bass guitar

Yep. You could even go as little as "bass guitar craigslist" in a google search and come up with a billion hits. Be as vague or as specific as you desire. It's how my buddy Nick S. found an NS upright on the other side of the country for 600 buxx.
