Thought the whole Natalee Holloway case was a big deal over there?

It's been in the news of course and folks are talking about it, but it's been in the news in one way or another for so long now folks are just a bit jaded.
This new confession, or whatever you call it, is pretty intriguing though. It goes along with my theory perfectly. I should be a private eye

Whenever anybodies child is killed and their body disposed of in an attempt to cover up evidence it's a big deal over here, regardless of where the crime may have occurred.

I don't believe his 'confession' tho.. Part of it might be true. He obviously had his part in her disappearance, but his entire story is flawed.. The guy he said that ditched her body in the ocean, he said he was 25 or something.. After the police checking up on the guy he's 20 or something and wasn't even on aruba that day (nor even that time of the year) and doesn't own a boat..
And I don't believe she had 'some kind of an attack'.. maybe an overdose or something.. Or he just plain old killed her (would explain why he threw his shoes away.. you don't throw your shoes away when you're walking home unless someones brain is on it)

A lot of people get killed and have their bodies disposed of.. Not all of them turn into media frenzies

Unfortunately Natalee disappeared in a backwards country that has a screwed up legal system. I doubt that the Aruban police could catch a cold much less a wannabe millionaire - playboy - stone - cold - gangsta with a hardass name like Joran.

Have you ever heard of Jessica Vargas, Trenton Duckett, Zacharey Bernhardt, Mellisa Mahon, etc etc etc?
If all those cases had the same media hype (or even just a portion of it) as Natalee's case had, a lot of them would already be solved..
There's no denying her disappearance is being hyped by the media.. It's a sad situation, but the media is definitely exploiting it.

Yeah the "confession" itself isnt air-tight. The guy is such a liar you really cant believe anything he says. I'm 100% certain that he's the guilty party though. Either directly or indirectly he killed her

He confessed to dumping her body after he freaked out.

I think she was trying to make her final night on the island a memorable one and took a lethal dose of alcohol and other drugs.

He is still a criminal according to that video for withholding info and dumping the body, no proof he is a killer.

Remember innocent until proven guilty

I do believe the dropping in the ocean part.. but the way he talks about how she died, not buying it.. And his father must've had something to do with it, he's lying as much as his son is..
'cause Joran was talking about when he was in prison and his dad sneaked a cellphone in and his dad's denying that.. So one of them must be lying

Yeah, but since his confession is filled with a lot of impossibilities (for example the friend that supposedly dumped the body) the entire confession probably can only be used to find more evidence..
'cause it can't be used as a true confession if the story can be proven to be wrong on several parts..

OK, you want Van der Sloot? He's been arrested in Chile on suspicion of murdering a Peruvian girl.

The new girl was stabbed and beaten to death. I now wonder if Natalie suffered the same fate before being disposed of. Anyone know much about the justice system down there? There are stories about the jails being bad, but I have no idea if they have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he did it or if they put him on a scale to see if he weighs more than a duck.

Look at the way he handled the whole Holloway thing, it's actually quite ingenious. Everybody knows the guy had more to do with it than he's letting out, but they can't pin him for it. Everything seemed carefully planned and well thought out. From the disposal of the body to the tons of different statements. No body, no witnesses, they can't prove without a reasonable doubt that he did it, he's free to go.
And then look at this case, 5 years to the day that Natalee was reported missing a dead girl shows up in his hotelroom. It's foolish and irrational. It doesn't coincide with the Holloway case at all.
I'm curious to see how this is going to pan out, but I wouldn't put it past him to get himself out of this too..
