Just read this on another website and it just really ticks me off. She made a mistake. Hmm, I don't really buy it.

It's even worse when people think it is "okay" to do that to them.

+1

Even if it was the policy of the company I worked for I wouldn't follow it. Sometimes you have to take a stand on what you believe in. To think someone would do that to my father, uncles, and both my grandfathers who served their country proud just really gets my blood boiling.

if everybody is boycotting, if for what ever reason you're going to Woking, that'll be the place to stay then, aslong as you don't show them Army ID, maybe the receptionist was a Navy girl

I don't know. Living here in the Springs (the home of Ft Carson, Pete Field, NORAD, SPACECOM, the Air Force Academy, Shriever, Cheyenne Mountain) I have gotten very used to military members getting the best of best treatment (exept health care, but that's another topic). One out every four or five people around here has been in the military, or is in. Stuff like this would kill your business around here. How many places out of my (seemingly) sheltered town are like this?

Isn't it under free housing laws that hotels can not refuse anyone on the basis of discrimination?

The sad thing is the soldier is defending their way of life. People who exercise their mouth against soldiers owe their rights to the soldiers they are speaking against. Hopefully karma comes around and unleashes an unholy pimp slap.

Im pretty sure there are plenty of vietnam vets who have had much worse treatment than not being allowed in a hotel

To an extent is true, have seen many large crowds of military types over here causing all kinds of problems, but on saying that, it can happen with any large group, so it doesnt really excuse the hotels stance.
