Nord Lead 2X - Anyone know these keyboard monstrosities?

So my keyboardist is tax-return trigger-happy. And he's been Jonesing for a Nord Lead 2X. Half because he wants to upgrade, and half because he wants a very simple stage rig.

My question is.... Can the Nord's presets or programs be controlled by an external MIDI foot controller? I'm not talking about the sustainer pedal or the control (expression) pedal hookups, I'm talking about changing presets with one foot on the pedalboard MIDI controller, while still using the sustain or control pedals for volume/vibrato effects and such.

Who around town is the resident keyboard/synth junkie?

Yeah I wouldn't even know which one to put this into. Effects? Recording Gear? See this is why I don't touch keyboards. Damn me and my courteous help trying to solve everyone else's problems...

Or let me wallow in my embarrassment until I rot, either way works for me.

Eh, they're completely different beasts. We've used a Nord Electro for its vintage keyboard sounds (B-3, Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Clavinet, etc.) But the Nord Lead is mostly for those 1970s-era synth sounds, and all those crazy bleeps and bloops that you hear in hip-hop and club music.

As far as the OP's question, my recollection is that the Nord keyboards have both a MIDI controller jack and an expression pedal jack, so I THINK you could do what you're wanting to do. I'll see if my keyboardist knows for sure.
