Nosferatu remake!!

Sign in to disble this ad
For some reason, I've always like the ancient vampire movie Nosferatu much more than Dracula(even though the former is simply an adaptation of the latter's novel form), and I think it was because of the atmosphere and characters. I still get a bit creeped out it today. Also, I made my username Noseferatu as a result of this.

Anyway, I think a remake of Nosferatu would totally kick some rear.

Here's the movie in case nobody has any idea what I'm talking about

Hmmmm....I would have to say that I completely disagree. Sometimes those old movies are as good as they are simply because of the fact that they are so old and dated. They came from a different era and mindset, and the whole look and feel reflects that, they're almost otherworldy... To remake Nosferatu would be a travesty IMO... CGI effects, standard Hollywood twists and "startle" scenes...nah it would ruin it. Give me some good beer popcorn and an original movie and I'm stoked.

if you really dug nosferatu, you need to check out this movie :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_of_the_Vampire

basically the premise is that the vampire in the original nosferatu movie (max schreck) was a real vampire (played by willem dafoe). the movie chronicled the making of nosferatu, with this guy being the real thing. it was really cool.

That sounds VERY interesting! I'll have to check it out!

Thanks!

I guess maybe I could agree with this. I think maybe what I'm aiming for if if it were redone in the EXACT same way, with no CGI effects, AND in black and white, but redo it to make it feel more fresh. I'm not exactly sure that would work, because that's basically like watching the same film all over again.
