Nothing can stop Obama!

Or his infamous 'Beast'. . .

Well, other than a speedbump

It is fitted with some of the most sophisticated technology in the world but one of Barack Obama's armoured cars has been brought to a halt by a speed bump.

The bomb-proof Cadillac ran into trouble as the presidential cavalcade was leaving the US Embassy in Dublin.

It stopped at the entrance when its bomb-proof undercarriage caught on the slightly raised ground at the gate.

The $1m vehicle, protected with bullet-proof glass, a panic button and its own oxygen supply, had to be abandoned.

Fortunately it was the back-up car and had been carrying the president’s security detail rather than the Obamas themselves.

When the president is travelling in one of the specially-fitted cars, it is officially called Cadillac One - but they have been nicknamed The Beast because of their security specifications.

To bad it wasn't fitted with hydraulics. Could have raised up and passed. Then bounce down the road in pride. I'd kind of like to see Cadillac One going down the parade route with one wheel up.

I just hope he doesn't get stuck due to the volcanic eruptions in Iceland.

Hope it makes all those who disparaged Hummers to think twice.

Presidential Hummer limo would be cool.

How to turn this thread into something against the rules:

Maybe we should put a speedbump to "hot political topic" so we could stop "politician's name".

...

Id like to see it too, honestly. Not because of any political bent, just because it would be badass!

Well, the fellas needed to get out and give it a little shove over, and then decide if they're,

Kickin' in the front seat
Sittin' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

I can definitely see the security detail looking at this tape over and over and start to plan for how to make sure this never happens again. The cars will be scrapped/retrofit with something at a HUGE expense to .... guess who?

Sounds like a planning problem. Of course, the political explanation would be much more difficult to comprehend.

And, the staffer that gets the 'stopped on hump' blame won't get fired! In the case of a Gov't worker, he or she will be reassigned if a worst case scenario happens.

I don't care which President, the car getting stuck was funny even though he wasn't in it.
