Now, this is an expensive concert ticket

In what is called a "Platinum Package," Barry Manilow offers fans a pre-concert meet-and-greet, champagne and photo session with front row seats, for a price: $1,500 each (the money goes to Manilow's foundation). Formerly, each participant was allowed to do this just once (Manilow's people did keep track). However, in recent years, his management has allowed repeaters: now it's once per person per year.

A couple friends of mine had similarly expensive tickets (well, I just know they were expensive).

They got a flight from London to the gig which was in Sweeden or Denmark (northern europe anyways). Bruce Dickenson being the pilot. They then got to hang out with Iron Maiden backstage before the gig too. No champagne, but, I dare say that isn't very heavy metal

Why go to a Manilow gig?

I wish I could have had a Bruce Air experience, but being in school is kinda a problem timewise and financially...

I wouldn't go to see him of HE paid ME $1500 and champagne

A few years ago, a bunch of us took in a Penn & Teller show like that.

I'd do it under that arrangement. I'd just bring earplugs and a book.

I guess I could sit through a MManilow meet&greet and concert if someone were to give me $1500. But I certainly wouldnt spend $1 for that. Well, how much champagne are we talkin?
