Ok, every ATM I've been do has said that when withdrawing money, I must select a multiple of $20. Fine, no problems with that. Why then, must I enter a value for cents when choosing how much I want, if it's not $20, $40, or $100. At all the ATMs I've been to, if I want, let's say, $80, I select "Other Amount" and enter $80. Except the prompt is "$0.00" so with the first button I press, I get "$0.08" and then I have to press "0" three times to get "$80.00." If I have to pick a multiple of $20, there is no possible value other than "00" that I could enter for the cents to actually get money. Why then, do I have to enter it? It will be the same exact number, every time, for everyone. Damn programmers.

Just the bank machines never seem to have £10s . . .
Why dont bank machines here let you take out £5 notes, that's what i want to know

1. Somehow not everyone knows that you can only get multiples of $20 out of an ATM - or maybe he just didn't get the concept (more likely). I watched with some amusement as a young man struggled mightily to get $13 from the machine. Many curse words were used before he stomped off in frustration.
2. Whenever I'm in the biggest hurry, I always get behind the person using 3 different cards and moving money from account to account as if they're trying to do a hostile takeover of the bank through the ATM. |

I have enough grey hair to remember when you either went to a bank and cashed a check, or you were flat out of luck until the next banking day.
