What do you think is a good expression that describes a person who chooses not to know something?

Willful ignorance?

Any others? I'm looking for expressions. Not just single words.

Yup, willfully ignorant was the first to come to mind.

Closed minded seems apt.

Willful Ignorance popped into my head before I even read the OP.

Plausible Deniability is a good one to remember if you ever enter into,....erm,...that which is verboten to discuss on Talkbass.

I had a friend who coined the term "ignoradamant".

I.E. IGNORANT and ADAMANT about it.

I never thought anyone would be looking for it at the time though.....

I used to call my brother a militant apathetic.

Every now and then when I was trying to inform him about something, he'd say "I don't want to know, and if you tell me I may hit you".

Great guy, just was a bit focused at that point in life.
