Teams are finalizing their opening line ups and in two days the puck drops on the 2011-2012 NHL Regular Season.
Preseason Suspensions have been doled out (Shanahan hands our more cans of b&s then Pacman). The Shanabans

The Atlanta Thrashers have been moved to Winnipeg to become the Jets,...and while they remain in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference (I guess the league didn't have enough time for restructuring) and still very much look like the Thrasher,...I for one am stoked for the people of Winnipeg. It will be better once the league figures out their restructure and make so the Jets and other East Coast teams aren't needing to take long flights to get to divisional and conference games.
So here we are,....for all you puck heads, place your bets,...talk about you predictions and all things NHL related and get ready for some hockey.
Last but not least. GO FLYERS!!!!

I'll be at the Pens game in Vancouver on Thursday, but Crosby will be sitting on Mario's couch in Pittsburgh watching it.

The NBA is going to lose some games, if not the entire season. When this happens, especially if the season is lost, there will be NBA fans who will turn away.
The NHL needs to get those fans to turn to the NHL!
Oh yeah... GO RED WINGS GO!!!

He is just too much of a liability, and certainly not worth the 5-10 games where he actually performs well.
I'm very excited for the season to start though. Baseball is wearing thin on me and watching the NY Jets is too aggravating. |

The guy who tried to buy the Coyotes, Matthew Hulsizer, must have got tired of being jerked around by the cities of Phoenix and Glendale. He went out and bought the Blues today instead.

I just found out today that San Francisco is getting an ECHL franchise, opening in 2012-2013. The SF Bulls!
Oh, yes...

-Mike | Sounds to me like it's a very good time for Quebec to get that rink built...........

Flyers guys....what do you remember about Niko Dimitrakos? The Pens signed him to a tryout contract with WB/S.

I don't understand why so many people think they don't have a good team.
They have the same basic team that took them to game 7 OT against the Stanley cup champs, with the addition of Eric Cole, Max Pacioretty, and Josh Georges. How can they not be a lot better?
We are gonna kill this season!

The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to suck because, well, that's what they do. They have no incentive to be good. They'll sell out every single game even if they go 0-82. |

P.K. Subban has to be one fo the most exciting players to come along in a long time. He'll get 20 goals this year.
I know there is a lot of love/hate for the habs, I'm not interested in getting into all of that, but I do really like their team this year.
