Last weekly regular football thread of the season guys. (BTW, anyone have any anti-depressants?)
Pats in a close one, reminiscent of the earlier Pats-Giants game. |

It's not going to be pretty and it sure won't be easy, but I think the Giants have one more win in them this year. They have been playing smart, opportunistic football the 2nd half of this year, especially when away from the hostile NY home field crowds. My only big worry for the Giants is the intense media blitz they are going to face .... that could be a problem, although they have been more focused since Shockey went down for the season. Shockey is a great player, but he has been a very negative figure with the showboating and trash talking. The Giants have been better off without him, no doubt ....
Of course, the Patriots are as close to a winning machine as anything I have ever seen, and they have excellent SB experience. They have already put together an amazing season and I'm sure they expect to finish 19-0 ...
Let the trash talking begin, but the two absolutely best teams in the NFL with the two best quarterbacks in the NFL will figure it all out on Feb 3rd
BTW, could we find two SB coaches with less personality than these two guys ???? |

Every close game has had a weather factor in it - cold, rain, wind, etc. The SB is played in a dome. Brady's got a much better chance under those conditions.

I've got my fingers crossed for that.
Now, how about them commercials?

I heard this morning.
In Game 16, the 'meaningless' game, the Giants sure took it
to the Pats. In the second half they were down by 2 scores.
The Packers were well favored at home in GB. Don't underestimate the Giants when game time comes, they've come to win this year.
The Pats have the advantage of a lot of playoff experience,
that could tip the balance in their favor.
I see this as a squeaker, with Brady pulling out an ugly win
in the 4th quarter. But still a win.

NE 3 | Bwahahaha! The Patriots will come out with an entirely different game plan, scoring quickly and often. Their defense plays much differently in the playoffs. It'll be a different team than what the Giants almost beat in the regular season finale.
