They called it "honorable mention" in the email which sounds cooler than "runner up" as it's listed on the website.
Originally they had emailed me and asked for a high-res version to print in the magazine but I was disappointed to see that they only gave it a 1" thumbnail on the opening page of the article.. which is OK I guess because not every pic even got a thumbail. I guess technically I can now say I've been published in Pop Photo... though I don't think I will lest someone ask to actually see it and I would have to sheepishly pull out a magnifying glass!
Brad

Just picked-up a Sony NEX 5N at a great price and starting to "bond" with the camera. So far I'm very pleased. Here are a couple of pics I took in Zurich, Switzerland right after I got the camera.
Regards and happy holidays!

If you don't celebrate Christmas, then I wish you peace during whatever holiday you do celebrate.

P.S. Congrats, Brad, on getting published.

I do, however, have a photo to offer.
I know we have more than a few dog lovers here, so this photo should please.
Taken at my niece's inlaws, here's a Corgi, and a beagle/coon hound mix waiting for Santa.
I used to have a dog just like the beagle/coon hound, although he was black with a white belly.
Enjoy the waning days of 2012.
Mike

wanted to make them a video that wasn't similar to their other one's, less frenetic and without collage elements |

I have no solid gear to shoot with at the moment. One Nikon f3 body, no lens. Old minolta body mirror's jammed. old agfa med format but very inconsistent unreliable shutter--more like a lever than a proper shutter. sold my canon stuff. |

Just curious because I'm thinking about making the move to Nikon myself, haha.

GAS list:
Pentax 67--awesome medium format much cheaper than Mamiya 7ii.
Canon S95 (for the 3rd time) teh best camera for sneaking in to places where prohibited, gets great results, shoots in darkness.
Nikon 28-80 zoom--dime a dozen from the 80s but good lens
Canon 135 macro--awesome lens but prohibitively $$$$
Pentax underwater camera
I love Canon L series lenses. I've heard the 40mm pancake is nice too. Honestly I'm less concerned w brands these days I don't care what brand any more I just need to shoot or I go crazy. I do believe the body is less important; you should invest in lenses not the latest body. almost all bodies are good.
I miss my old set up--pentax k10 with an adapter for pentax 67 lenses. that was cool but heavier than an alembic. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
