Oh my, what a show!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm flippin tv channels like I usually do and I come across a 1983 televised recording session of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Albert King playin the blues for 1 1/2 hours. Of course both of these great musicians are no longer with us so its a real treat for me to see them both sharing the same studio together. Doesn't get much better then that. Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, I caught that about two weeks ago, but I have had the audio for a couple of years.

If you liked the show get the CD, it is great!

Damn, I wish I had caught that.
I saw SRV years ago in Chicago, warmed up by Greg Allman.
Great show.
Have only seen Albert King in videos: thank god he lived long enough to get some of those made.

I saved it on my DVR and plan on giving it a second viewing. Good stuff!

I saw Albert King in a concert with B.B. King and Bobby Blue Bland! That was the baddest ****ing rainbow I ever saw! Never got a chance to see SRV.

You know, Stevie Ray Vaughn played here at Pine Knob a couple shows before the show were he had the helicopter accident. I got invited to go but was not able to....I told my buddy I'll catch him the next he comes to Detroit, and well the rest is history.

If you belong to Netflix, they might have it. Doubtful but you never know.

It was a PBS special - they may repeat it. Worth watching for it, or checking their website.

Wonderful stuff.

FWIW I saw Grand Funk back in either late 72 or early 73 at the LA Forum and Albert King was the opener. I thought it a bit odd but it was all cool!
