I guess it was karma for going by all the WaMu's last week and yelling "YOUR BANK FAILED" to the people in line.
Wachovia got bought out by CitiGroup. Awesome.
The stocks are plummeting. Awesome.
How much worse can this get before it gets better?
I was talking to one of my econ professors and he said that the US will never be the economic front runner ever again. If we start making a lot of positive changes, we'll be a strong participant in the 21st century economy, and definitely one of the front-runners, but our days of being the powerhouse are over...

I think there's a lot of truth in this statement as more and more players enter the world economy. |

I look at all the people I know who are the "front runners" around me. They are all stressing out about their house and car payments, how they are going to afford their vacations around the world, and other unnecessary items. I don't want those problems.
| Carl Jung, a brilliant pioneering psychologist, said he always strove to be second-best, because when you're first everyone is gunning for you...
Still, I'd rather be wondering how I'm going to afford my vacation (and maybe downsizing it or even skipping it this year) than wondering how I'm gonna be able to afford to feed my family this week.
