Even though they spell their words with extra "u's" and other strange interpretation of the American Language, there still wasn't enough evidence to suggest that they are, in fact, morons.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you with definitive proof:

(Obviously, as a citizen on both sides of the pond, this is completely sarcastic. Unless I'm a moron...)

Somehow it fits that the story cited is at Fox News, a paragon of journalistic quality and even-handedness.

But I fail to see how the Britons and US residents are significantly different in terms of their ignorance of history.

Did you miss the part where it said that Sherlock Holmes was found to be a real person?

Let me say that, as an English gentleman, I was ashamed to read that in the paper this morning. Winston is a limping legend.

This just in: People are stupid. Most statistics are bollocks. Fox and the Mail are not reliable news sources. People lie when asked daft questions by people with clipboards.

ummmmm You do realize there is no such thing as the "American Language". It is the English language. But that post is hilarious.

I had a bunch of R.A.F. mates over for a right proper good old American BBQ (ribs, steaks burgers and what-not) seems the British don't know what spices are for...lol Anyway this guys asks me what we are celbrating, and I tell him the fourth of July dude.... ya know Independence day!" and he's all like Independence from what?...and I'm all like Independence from you ya silly twit...lol

ya so they have a few weird holidays as well......

I don't get it.

Of course Winston Churchill wasn't real. The Duke of Wellington is a pub I think... and Gandhi is just the evil split-persona of Ben Kingsley.

i dont know where they got this info or whothey asked but i find it hard to believe that people dont believe churchill was real. maybe they interviewed stupid peole that dont know who he is. but for people to believe that he is a fairytale is imo falsified. plus it comes from the daily mail which severely twists the truth.
