Ok, so I went to high school with this guy...

Sign in to disble this ad
I ran into him a few years ago and he was telling me how he was on american idol and a bunch of nonsense. The dude was tweaked out of his gourd so I really just passed it all off as BS, until last night.

So last night I'm hanging out with some friends, whom I also went to high school with, and for some reason this topic comes up, I guess they all knew him too.

So my friend Ashley googles his name and up comes the youtube video. Now I dont watch american idol, ever, but this is probably one of the best rejjections EVER!!!!

Google the name Eric Mueller and watch this video, hilarious!
I'd post the link myself, but I dont have access to youtube at work.

"Ok... you want me to go lower?"

What does Eric want to do in American Idol? In his own words: "I wanna break out of the mold. I want to take what other people have done and multiply it and then raise it to higher heights. I then basically I want to fluctuate it and reverberate it, and make the vocals blend in with the music and then also stand out from the contrast."

Eric sang Black Sabbath's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath in a high, squeaky pitch. Simon told him that it wasn't a serious performance and told him to sing it lower. Eric sang it through a second time with parts of the lyric a bit lower, but the higher parts still hit the squeaky range. Simon was about to have Eric sing it again, but lower, but Randy jumped in and said that it wouldn't help.

Eric then switched to Hillary Duff's Fly, but Simon couldn't even distinguish which song he had sang, calling him "absolutely atrocious."

After Eric left the audition room, Simon spotted on the audition form that he had been learning to sing from Randy and Paula DVD set: Ultimate Voice Coach — Learn to Sing Like a Star!. Simon tried calling Eric into the audition, but Randy and Paula were yelling at him to leave the room. Simon ran up to catch Eric during his interview with Ryan, but Randy and Paula even went so far as to sprint after Simon to block him from talking with Eric and Ryan about it. Eric excused himself and left the building during the commotion.

Haha, I cant say for sure, I dont believe he plays bass, though I havent talked to him in years.

Yeah, I had never seen the video until last night, and I seriously could not stop laughing. I almost felt bad for the guy, but he was kind of a dumbass, and he took it well, so not really.

My mom once gave him a ride home from school.

*Apparently, shortly after Fox aired the episode with him in it, he appeared on Larry King Live, though I havent seen that video yet

I was going to say that he needed to get his money back that he spent on all those music programs, but after watching this video, he deserved to get his eye's poked out! He sings through his nose.

Great song choice. That sound worked for Ozzy, and he made more money as a singer and entertainer - and much better music - than probably everyone on Idol ever, all put together.

I like how he just ignores them all and walks away, rather than thinking he's got a 2nd chance.

Kudos, kid.

Here's the original and a famous cover. He's not too far off.

If nothing else, he could sing on those "Chipmunks" records. Are those still being made? Those sold far more than 99.99% of Idol contestants ever will too. I think he's on to something (or on something?).

Ouch. Yeah, I suppose the general pitch wasn't too far off from Ozzy's on the second attempt, but he still sounded hideous. And the things he said beforehand were really laughable. Maybe this was a joke?
