first and foremost, what the hell is it?

People blabbing on the Internets about their life, people are bored enough to read it.

Its basically people who no nothing about a subject writing pages of biased misinformation about it so others who know less can use it as sources in online debates. In a nutshell.

+1. And I think it's funny that the media (mostly television) will often give reports, like "What are the bloggers saying today." All of a sudden these bloggers have elevated their biased opinions above other more traditional sources.

I think you're only referring to political blogging.

Here's one of my favorites...http://hammyvision.blogspot.com/ The guy (who I know through another forum) is basically just telling stories from his life - he just tells them in a very funny way.

My favorite one from the same guy...http://hammyvision.blogspot.com/2007...hot-stuff.html

comes from the term Web-Log.

Used to be a tool for computer nerds(90's) to comunicate and post about what they've done, working on projects and such, but since has turned into what Mark said...lol

and the media always refers to them because the media are a bunch of libs. and 80% of bloggers are a bunch of libs also, so since they agree on so much, they help each other out in spewing the propaganda around...

from what i've read on blogs, it also seems that most bloggers are 20 year old college freshman that sound like they talk out of their nostrils and have had everything handed to them all their lives, and now they know how to rule the world because they took civics 101 at community college.

no replies needed!

Turn the political affiliations of the bloggers around and you've got it right.

A Web 2.0 term for a web site which presents regular (logged) entries made by a single or numerous contributors as its main content.

So... "blog" as in "web log". And there's vlog for "video log" on Youtube I think.

Some I consult regularly:

Design Intellection

IndieGames.com : The weblog

Viget : Inspire
