Might as well keep things going! As an old guy, my top laments are:
1. I can't relate to today's music. Sorry, but our music was better, plain and simple. If you disagree, ask yourself this - who would you rather listen to, The Beatles, or The Mountain Goats? I rest my case!
2. I look at sexy young girls, and all I can think of is, she could be my daughter! And they look at me like I could be their father!
3. I love sports, but I just can't play anything more intense than golf.
4. I'd love to eat heaping helpings of my favorite foods, but I'll pay the price later. Sometimes intensely!
5. My idea of a late-night gig is up to 11PM. Then it's time to go home and go to bed.
6. I just can't lug an 8X10 cab anymore. Thank God for GK combos!
7. For some inexplicable reason my pants keep getting too tight!
8. My body hurts when I get out of bed, and all I did was sleep!
9. I still enjoy sex. Twice a year! All five minutes of it!
10. All my friends are dying off, and I might be next! I'm thinking about death more and more!

I agree with:
1, 6, 7, 8 and 10
2 - I'm a dirty old man and my thoughts about sexy young thangs 'aint exactly so pure
3 - I love golf too but with 3 boys, I'm always playing football, stickball, soccer, you name it.. this, whether I want to or not..no choice in the matter...
4 - me too. The plumbing's fine but the waist band don't like it none 
5 - the only time I get time to myself is usually after everyone goes to bed. Just call me dracula..
9 - I've been humpin like a schoolboy 'aint no issues there

2. I'm still a guy, no matter what the age. When I see a hot young thing, the FIRST thing I wonder is what she'd look like upside down. The thinking she's my daughter's age and related guilt come AFTER that! The part about knowing she looks at you as an old perv is very true, and disturbing!
3. Does watching on TV count?
4. Oh yeah. I love to eat. I love to eat bad stuff. I hate to get up in the middle of the night to take antacid.
5. The great majority of my band's gigs are 8-12. Those occasional 10-2s SUCK!

Great for recording, but I can't imagine hauling that thing around anymore. I downsized all the way to the Markbass 121p, love it |

The current music stuff is like half rap/sexy black vocals, I love some of it. As long as they don't clean up the lyrics. There is nothing worse than clean Rap...................I am old enough to remember having the single Louie Louie and listening to that song just to catch some of the dirty words. There really isn't anything all that new, only new ways of re-doing the old........Take it easy and keep smiling at the young chicks, its good for you.......  |
