Are they putting you under or just giving you a local? Going down is fun... that nitrous would make for a wicked party favour!

Already there my brother!!!!!

The wisdom teeth seemed to like it where they were, they did not want to come out. He finally got the one out and the second gave him even more trouble. There are still 2 root fragments in there. If they give me any problems i will have to goto an Oral Surgeon to have them surgically removed

Oh yeah, I had a local and no Nitrous. IU did pop a Vicodin before I even set foot in the door though

You corroborate my own research. I was wondering because TB seems to be globally turning to Vicodin, and the strongest analgesic I had to take was Codeine (4 problematic wisdom teeth removed from inside the jawbone and a cheek muscle cut in the process).

This is Codeine:
C18H21NO3

This is Vicodin:
C18H21NO3

Vicodin (hydrocodone) is synthetic, though.

Hydrocodone also has certain additives that can make you dizzy or give you a headache. It is added to prevent abusing the drug.

Hydrocodone and codeine may have the same number of atoms but they are not in the same position, thus giving them very different physical, chemical, and biological properties. Just an example, look at the methoxy group in hydrocodone - if you jump over a few atoms you see a ketone. In the same relative place on codeine you see an alcohol. That in and of itself would probably lead to different biological activity. What you want to do is look at the IUPAC name:

codeine: (5α,6α)-7,8-didehydro-4,5-epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-ol

hydrocodone: 4,5a-Epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one

Look on the bright side. You won't be eating as much therefore you'll lose a little weight.

I'm allergic to codeine, but not hydrocodone.

PS - I am on it a little bit after wrecking my fourwheeler Saturday.
