How about some holiday cheer? For me anyway, lol.

My "old lady" and I are very happy together and are planning on the marriage "thing",lol. Her father wants to give her his house! She only has to pay property tax! That's about $300 a month. The house is valued at about $200k. He's not a wealthy man. I believe he's making the wise decision though. If it were divided between 3 children when he passes on, it won't amount to much after everything is said and done. Sorry, but I'm pretty excited as I never expected anything like this! -Luke

Here is my wise advice:

Don't ever take a cash out mortgage on it no matter how much you need cash.

Other than that congrats dude, not many people have that luxury.

No,never! lol
I grew up in pretty poor family. She wasn't too much better off. This is truly a blessing to us both! I know just how rare this opportunity is. Thanks for your support! -Luke

that's fantastic VS!

I'm curious though, is there any particular reason why he's giving it you two, rather than any of his other children?

Great, and Congrats on moving forward with your nuptuals! Now, how do you spell "Quit Claim Deed?"

One of his children already has a home. The other isn't responsible enough to hold a job, let alone a house. We're a growing family with 2 boys. I think it's based upon who is in the actual "need" of the home. -Luke
