Michael, Prayers go a long way and although I was scared I had you and 40 friends numerous family members my wife and my mom hoping hope would pull me thru & they were praying for me as well. My pop who is looking down from above was making sure I didn't end up in a wheelchair as well. I am well and I send my love to everyone who was thinking of me God Bless you all. I will be fine. I am sure it will take several weeks but I am feeling 100x's better. My Dr. said w my condition and the way the disk was causing all the spinal Ademia I should have not been walking at all he was totally amazed that I could walk at all usually people in my condition until the disk comes out are partially paralyzed. He stated I was a big guy w a lot of strength so he has no doubt I will recover. I still have tingling in my hands but I did do extensive damage to my spine because of the C5 C6 disk pushing very very severely up against my spinal cord and causing all that damage. Hopefully in time I will get some if not all of the feeling back in my hands too which will help me play a lot more cleaner and faster like Steve Harris. That is my goal Geddy Lee Steve Harris speed and fluidity not to mention Entwhistle triplets and very little Stanley runs

Spinal cord injury is no excuse for run on sentences.

That aside, it's good to hear you're doing well under your condition. Sure helps to have a lot of friends and family that care about you.

How about Vicodin and Valium are they ok for run on sentences?

Vicodin and Valium not only make run on sentences seem 'pfft' but a whole lot of other things too.

The disk between C5 & C6 was so severely pushing against my spinal cord it caused me very bad pain numbness and tingling in my hand problems w my gait (motor reflexes balance walking etc grasping things aka dropping things coordination). I could barely walk some days but I still went to work and played some gigs until I couldn't. I had my surgery Monday 12/13. If you every have and disk problems w your back get it taken care of.

BTW the laser spine type surgery only works w minor disk inflammations no major stuff can be taken care of w that type of voodoo. That stuff is smoke and mirrors . The first thing that they ask for at those type of places is you insurance they move you in and out like cattle.

The Dr. said it was from a trauma. I can say I fell off a latter 5 years ago but I cannot really "combine the two".

Thanks for the scoop. Very good to hear you are on your way back to recovery and a better life. Hang in there!

During the time you were coping with the pain, did you ever try chiropractic, acupuncture, or massage therapy? I am not suggesting you should have, just wondering.

That is one seriously impinged spine!

Glad you're out the other side of the surgery and on the way to recovery.
Hang in there, do your PT when you get there, and be patient - heal fully and well.
Godspeed.
