One of our own needs your help and prayers.

Please read this and pass along. If you have connections in the Pittsburgh area, please send along the links.

TB member Drummer5359 has had his nephew go missing in the Steeler Stadium area near the river. Police and missing persons reports are in place. Please take a moment to read this. I'm not one to pray much, but he's got my good karma heading his way. Here is the story

Bridgeville Man Disappears After Concert « CBS Pittsburgh

Chick vs Chick w/Bass: Eight Days a Week

Thanks for looking. I am sure Mike (Drummer5359) can use your support in this time of difficulty.

Yeah, no kidding. Mike's a great guy. He really loves this kid.

I hate to see the how good guys always somehow get the curve balls and the @******* always seem to not to.

Anyway, it's not looking so good. I am kind of downhearted over all this. It all sucks.

Thor,

I am a Christian pastor and will be praying. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. I also have some friends in a band from Pittsburgh called Apologetix. I will also pass this along to them as well as they are actually home this month and are not touring.

Thank you Jay.

Ask the band to FB it out to friends in the area. I guess getting as many eyes on it as possible is the thing we can do now for Mike.

Jimmy's a good looking kid, we (over on the CWB thread) were all kind of hoping he got hooked up with some hot hoochie mama, and got a little busy. The more time passes, the less likely that seems to be.

Mike said Jimmy had worked on a tug on the river, though he got laid off recently. Said he had a real affinity for the river. Sounds like this AE stage is right next to the river and next door to the stadium.

Oh boy....big-time positive thoughts and vibes sent down to Pennsylvania, from Ontario. I hope he's found safe and sound - just hungry and cold!

Thank you Thor for posting this.

My family is devastated by this situation and doing everything in our power to find him. He is a great guy and we've been close his whole life. (He was born on my birthday.)

Furry Monkee from TB distributed flyers at a concert in Chicago tonight. One of the many leads was that he may have followed the band. (The String Cheese Incidents.) There is no way to put into words how much this act meant to me and my family.

I truly touched by the support of my friends in this time.

Here is the poster that's being circulated. If you all woud continue to share it on Facebook, etc I would be forever grateful.

Thank you again.

Geez, that's awful. I don't live in Pittsburgh, and I'm not religious, so my only offer is to give him best wishes and good vibes along with other posters.

I hope the missing person shows up soon!

Man, that is awful. I'm not anywhere near Pittsburgh but you've got prayers coming to you and your family. So sorry to hear this.

Not to get off topic, but my mom is friends with the bassist's wife, and teaches his daughter at school. Pretty sure his son goes to the same college as I do. Small world.

I've been passing the info to all the Pittsburgh area discussion forums I can dig up.

If you guys can think of any offhand (colleges etc.) please do the same, it's pretty easy to register with them.

Thanks-

At this point the search is now nationwide, leads are coming from everywhere. Even if you are not in the Pittsburgh area, sharing this is helpful.

Perhaps we could get String Cheese Incident's tour schedule and have tbr's post their local area right around the time of the stop too. Or better yet, if you have tickets, hit the show itself.

Coincidently I just showed this to a friend of mine who was at the concert. Apparently he is a friend of their friend. Small world. Wish I could help but my friend said she heard of the story and knew he was a friend of a friend but that's all :/
