Last week marked our one year anniversary of my daughter being partnered with her service dog Shenandoah. I can't begin to put in to words what she has done for my daughter and our whole family, though I made an attempt in another thread. Shenandoah was trained by 4 Paws for Ability in Xenia, OH, which is an incredible organization. They got us the perfect dog for our girl.
It seems like she's been with us a lot longer than a year. I can't imagine these days how we got along without her. She continues to amaze everyone with her incredible training and gentle nature.
Anyway, I was getting together some pics to send to the people who helped train her, and thought people here might like to see some of them too.
Nice hug!
Best buddies.
Sometimes work is boring.
Why the long face?
The perils of being partnered with a little girl.
Loving the snow!
Happy anniversary, Shenandoah!

dogs are amazing. |

I'm so glad for you Bart... I know your load has been heavy for some time now, and it's awesome that now you have Shenandoah helping with that work in so many ways.
I do still hope to meet you guys in person some day. |
