Sharpening a chisel on a whetstone. Got distracted and drove the chisel into my thumb. The cut is about 3/4" long and I have no idea how deep. Niiiiice...  |

Yes it spread. Yes it looked nasty. I put pressure on it, then wrapped it. It's staying closed. It'll be fine, unless I accidentally pop it back open--done THAT before (the thought of it makes me shiver). I've only gotten stitches once, for a head wound. Otherwise, I'm good with butterflies and bandages.  Within reason, of course.
