It's my left thumb. You know, the one that gets planted firmly on the back of the neck. *ouch* The cut is right on the pad of my thumb and it's kinda' deep. I won't be playing for a couple days, at least.

On the good side of it all, It stopped bleeding pretty quickly, with pressure, and it's not throbbing anymore.

I'm always really careful about my hands, too. Accidents will happen...

Its no big deal I'm an electrician and i screw up my fingers/thumbs all the time get some electrical tape and tape it up for a day or two and play through the pain but don't wrap the tape too tight you'll cut off the circulation.

If the cut spreads and you see meat underneath, you need stitches. Otherwise, band-aids and...

Yeah, but it's very important that polysporin/neosporin doesn't get in the subcutaneous depths of the wound. It makes awful scars.

Bah! Stitches are for girls.

Yes it spread. Yes it looked nasty. I put pressure on it, then wrapped it. It's staying closed. It'll be fine, unless I accidentally pop it back open--done THAT before (the thought of it makes me shiver). I've only gotten stitches once, for a head wound. Otherwise, I'm good with butterflies and bandages. Within reason, of course.

Sorry, no pics.

That's because you didn't get to the meat of the discussion.
