Opera version 9.52 rocks

THAT IS ALL!

Seriously, it's amazing, the commands and features are intuitive (mouse gestures, speed dial) and it's even faster than the previous version -- which trumps the others.

Flame on.

A hatchet and six feet of rope is all I need to make my way around the Internet.

I love Opera! I love Firefox too, but Opera's interface is far better IMO. That, and it renders fonts far better than Firefox on Linux. The latest release seems a bit faster, and it seems more stable when using Flash. (Adobe's fault - Flash under Linux is atrocious)

Never really cared for Opera. Until it has good ad blocking I'm not going to use it. Unless it is a serious update from the last version in this one then it's a joke compared to Adblock for Firefox. There are some other issues that I don't like either but they would probably be easy fixes, it is quirky at best with my experience from the previous one.

I agree that Opera's ad blocking isn't as elegant as Firefox and Adblock, but find a decent blocklist and download it to your Opera folder. Just as good at blocking ads.

ETA: http://www.fanboy.co.nz/adblock/opera/
I use that list myself, and haven't seen an ad since.

Funny because when you speak of quirks, I have many more complaints from the quirks Safari and Firefox have.

To each his own, but I think you should try this version. IMO it is pretty updated. Don't take my word for it tho
