Pakistani officials are stating they knew about this, but the U.S. is denying they knew anything about it. But since Pakistan is claiming they knew, I'd say they just lost any chance at repercussions if they really didn't know.
That all being said, I'd still be okay with going in and getting him even if Pakistan denied us entry. I am a believer of if you harbor my enemy, then you are my enemy. In this case, since he was found pretty much in the heart of Pakistan, I'd be willing to be they knew.
