I moved into a new place last fall, and I'm still getting mail for the guy who lived there before me.
This guy had some strange tastes in magazines... fishing mags, Cat Fancy, teenie bopper mags, survivalist gear catalogs, stomach & intestinal surgery journals (you think I'm joking? ), Cosmo...

Cosmo in and of itself? No, not creepy. But with all the other mags? Subscribed to by a single male with no kids, and who, according to the neighbors, rarely set foot outside?

How is it neighbors always describe the serial killer next door? "He was always so quiet..."

We've all been victim to Amazon's gold box discount features at one point or another.

Anywho, I'm sure there's a coherent upstanding character profile that can be crafted using his magazine preferences.

Like perhaps he's a cat loving doctor who wants to be able to stay on an up to date level about teen entertainment and fashion trends for his younger patients. He likes fishing and the outdoors, and wants to know what his girlfriend thinks about while in the bedroom.

I challenge you to come up with a better one.

And he would've gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids and that dog!

You can learn a lot about someone by looking at what goes into their mailbox. My mother has been a letter carrier for almost 35 years. She has some great stories. You wouldn't believe it. Some very respected politicians, clergy, and other pillars of my community getting all sorts of things that would ruin their reputations. She could probably retire off the blackmail money if she was so brave.
