Obviously, the attackers were wrong, but I do give them credit for apologizing and leaving the man alone when they realized they had made a mistake. If they had been totally heartless, they would have just killed the man so he could not identify them.

I will make some enemies if I say this, but the law does not have very good record of aplogizing when they get the wrong guy either, in fact they often spend big money trying to shoot down any appeal rather than admit a mistake.

it would have been awesome if they drove the guy to the ER, but, yeah... at least they didn't kill him.

So an apology makes it all better? The dude is lucky to be alive as most thugs are a whole lot more stone cold than what happened in this case. It's a bizarre story to say the least.

Apologizing is admitting liability. By admitting liability they're almost certain to lose in court.


When I went for my induction for my work at the local council (I'm a bartender ) one of the main things they taught us was no matter what happens we cannot say sorry to someone.
