Pandora app?

Sign in to disble this ad
Well I downloaded it for my dad on his blackberry a while back and I just now got it to work. I go to the Spin Doctors radio and it plays "two princes" and after that it goes to another song by another band. I figure it did that cause its messed up so I try it on the Blues Traveler radio and does the same, now I'm thinking its cause the Spin Doctors and Blues Traveler arn't huge bands. So I try it on Green Day radio, same thing... and again on chili peppers radio. I'm stumped. Does anybody know how to fix this or even just why its happening?

Thanks

You do know how Pandora works, right? You set a station based on an artist or song, and based on that selection, it plays music it "thinks" you will enjoy. It doesn't play that artist's catalog.

Thats frickin retarded, what dumb*** came up with that. I'm pretty sure it can be changed or something, cause on my friend's itouch he had beatles radio and all it played was beatles... and he did have pandora.

If seeing Billy Corgan and then catching flaws in a stupid app is fail... then sure why not!

Edit: Hell, Why not!? Sigged.

No flaw, that's what it's designed to do.

I think it's a great idea. It enables you to get exposed to similar artist that you may not have checked out.

Well... stupid design. Sometimes I just want to listen to a bunch of spin doctors or peppers in sequence, its cheaper than iTunes or buying the album.

The stuff it "suggests" is all top40 stuff. All the songs that came on after have loads of radio play time

Yes. Pandora works that way, which is bad for me because I am overly picky about my music (and because I like a certain band whose singer sounds like a band saw trying to cut through piece of metal pipe with a microphone stuck to it, and only like that one band), as well as a self-righteous, overly-pretentions-at-times snob when it comes to music.

Pandora is pretty cool, though...

Err, you do not seem to be fully exploring your options here sir. Youtube, and Lala but Apple bought that

It's called listening to their albums.

thinking you might have seen billy corgan, and calling an app stupid because you can't READ the instructions... yeah that's fail x 2 in the last hour or so...

Yes, it's called Frostwire, and there are a few steps between it and playing your music, but it's the same idea sorta...

Thats expensive. Lets see... $7 for a used album, $15 for a new album, or $1 per song (if not more) on iTunes. I buy albums when I really feel its necessary but other than that I don't buy music really, and as a musician I wouldn't ever download illegal music. I can imagine doing it cause its not that bad ect ect but I feel I need to support them.

Googled them... seems illegal. It looks exactly like my friend's music torrent MP3Rocket.

part of your problem is in the last part of this post. There are no free music listening things on the internet, except LaLa, which got bought by Apple, and maybe iLike, but I got nothing aside from interweb radioz and Piracy. Those seem like your only options...

Just delete the songs when you are done listening to them. That way you aren't stealing. its just like listening to the radio, only with no commercials.

Giving back the items after you've made use of them doesn't make it not stealing...

The thing about pandora, is that it's free because it has commercials. they're giving you music in the same genre / area as the music you like, in general. It's an awesome source for new music. Want to listen to one artist's work, buy the box set. Artists deserve to get paid, whether through advertising profits or cd sales. As a musician, I would think this should be old news.
