There is apparently a big market fo these critters in Asia. I remember being in Nigeria and seeing a pangolin hanging on the side of the road with a gazelle, and grass cutters (big woodchuck size rats) at a bush meat stall.

I'd love the Chinese (well, not all of them obviously, but those who are into this) to stop killing endangered species to turn them in quack medicine.

Then again, we're killing off Tuna like never before to satisfy the need for tuna sushi in Western restaurants, so I'm not so sure if the West has the higher moral ground here...

What happens when we kill off every other species? Do we have to go vegetarian, or cannibal? Or will we eat the goo they had in the Matrix?
