We as a family sit down on Wednesdays and watch Ghost Hunters, we also watch Paranormal State and a few other shows on a few other networks.....
The subject has alwys fascinated me, but having a strong science background (Herpetologist) i have always been....shall we say highly skeptical....
I'm actually considering joining a local Paranormal group as a field researcher, and curious about everyone else's take on the subject?

They were looking for field research people too and it would've been great but I think dealing with the hundreds of nutcases and false cases would drive me up the wall before we find the one genuine case amongst the others. The reality check is that it won't be like the X-Files (and chances are, there won't be a Scully either..).
And once a friend and I checked out one of the Nexus meetings, they were mostly talking about alternative sciences and gadgets.
I'd say to you to go for it, you might learn something that'll change your current views.
And post pics. |

This validates what the see more. I also like how they don't get involved in religious aspects of the paranormal stuff. That would be cool. Let us know how that works out. |

Actually, the thing I would be worried about, if I was to go ghost-hunting, is the off chance that I'd 'bring something home' inadvertantly. |

most of the time people go huh? what! herpes?
A herpetologist is a zoologist that specializes in reptiles, amphibians, crocodilians and turtles. The word herpetology comes from the Greek herpeton that means "to creep." Herpetologists are also known as "herps," and "field herping" is the study of animals and their identification through guidebooks and other materials. Herpetologists help in the conservation of reptiles, amphibians, crocodilians and turtles. They also help the medical profession with their knowledge of toxins and venoms. Many herpetologists are involved in ecological studies such as trying to understand why amphibian species are declining.
If you are serious about the question...
i have literally hundreds of reptiles....Boas, Pythons, Colubrids, Testudines, etc.
i have a few Aussie species as well including Jungle Carpets, Centralians, Childrens, Spotteds, anthills, Green Tree's etc.
I would post my website but i don't think i can according to TB regulations

lol I was serious. I majored in pharmacology back at university, and one of our lecturers is one of Australia's foremost experts in venomology. Plus, I've always wanted a bearded dragon myself. |

More heaven and earth than science....

More heaven and earth than science.... | So they were playing so crappily that even the ghosts got angry and started throwing things at them?
I've had a few moments like that too

Their spirits were doomed for all eternity to remain attached to a band that played so badly as to be a substitution for what we know as hell. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
