Patricia Neal; actress in one of the great Sci-Fi black & white flicks of all time; The Day the Earth Stood Still has passed away.



She won an Academy Award in 1964 for her performance in Hud with Paul Newman. In a interview on one cable movie channel, she mentioned that she still received more fan mail for her role in The Day the Earth Stood Still than any other movie she starred in.

RIP, 84 was a good age.

I failed to ention her role in The Fountainhead, a great story, a good movie.

Her generousity to the public is also quite noteworthy.
