Paypal questions

I tried to lift my $500 per month transfer to bank limit by confirming my SSN but Paypal always says it cannot be confirmed? I'm an a legal citizen here...

Also, what's the advantage/disadvantage of adding a credit/debit card?

How much money transfer does adding each one of the above allow?

I've been using paypal for years and cannot confirm or verify my account. I can transfer an unlimited amount of money though Their system is totally EFFED up

Adding a card allows you to puchase using more funds that whats in your PP account. I'd rather do than that give my CC info directly.

I confirmed my paypal by using my bank account number. They made a few small deposits (like 40 cents) and after that I was confirmed... It was pretty easy.

+1

Go to your bank and set up a new checking/savings account just for paypal. If you have online banking you can transfer that money to your primary account if you wish.

+1 on paypal being totally effed up as well.
Other than setting up your accounts and doing transactions, the rest of the website is useless. If you have any problems be sure to call them to straighten it out. Don't bother with their online "resolution" automated B.S.

Rather than giving your SSN, you should have let them charge you $3.00. Wait for your bank statement to arrive or check it out online, and look for the code (something like Paypal1545).

Be very careful with Paypal.I was a victim of identity theft about a year ago,and somehow,a purchase was made that violated their user policy.6 months later,my account was frozen, and I can't do any transfers at all. They could not produce the information about the transaction other than on the date that it took place. Dozens of calls to Customer service yielded no help, and dozens of emails to the user policy department, resulted in no responses at all.But yet I always get emails wanting me to update my account. The same one that they closed! Be careful!
